Art is a form of expression that awakens a child's imagination and creativity to discover who they truly are. Crocheting is a form of textile art that entails a needle known as the crochet hook, which is used for forming stitches with the help of a yarn. Crocheting has proven to be beneficial for a child's Holistic Development as it enhances their cognitive functioning and development. This program aims to create a platform for children to explore the world of crocheting. Children will be introduced to an array of techniques and designs to channel their creativity and acquire a new set of skills.

  • Class 1: Hook holding, slip knot, chain & slip stitch 

  • Class 2: Single Stitch, Half Double Stitch, Colour changing 

  • Class 3: Double Stitch, Treble Stitch, Colour Changing 

  • Class 4: Puff Stitch into a Flower, Flower with Treble Stitch 

  • Class 5: Circle 

  • Class 6: Square

  • Class 7: Beanie

  • Class 8: Beanie & Revision

Learning outcome

Children will be introduced to the world of crocheting and the tools required to crochet. Children will learn to make clothes, decorative articles and many other crocheted designs with the set of skills they will acquire.
